Everything is quantified. My steps, my water, my time. I’m either trying to reach a goal or store all my hours properly to reach capacity. Merging into the system bit by bit. Byte by byte. We ain’t from singularity.

It’s time for the heavy lifting, I thought. Forcing my eyelids open to see 6:21 a.m. on the clock. It’s time for the heavy lifting.

As the days build up after a national tragedy the details of life surround you in a familiar comfort and the grieving families are left with the broken pieces. I’m waiting for those details to pile up because I need some comfort.
